Call My AGent 2023

What is Call My Agent?

Call My Agent is a brand new talent competition, where we’re looking to showcase YOU and your talent. On 23rd March 2023, there will be a spectacular final, where you can perform your act in front of a supportive audience, and a panel of judges, including theatre agents!

What are we looking for?

You can enter in any or the following categories:

Acting

  • Monologue: A solo performance. Other actors can be on stage, but only one person is the focus. This might be something you’ve prepared for an audition, a LAMDA exam, in class or just for fun.

  • Group Scene: A scene from a published play, featuring two or more performers. This could be something you’ve done for a GCSE or A Level exam, froma play in the past, or something you’ve worked on independently.

Musical Theatre

  • Solo Song: A solo performance of a scene or song from a musical.

  • Group Scene: A scene with two or more people from a musical.

Dance

  • Original Choreography: A solo or group performance of your own choreography.

  • Dance Performance: A solo or group performance, choreographed by someone else

Other

  • If you have another performance skill you want to show off (acrobatics, tumbling, ventriloquism, magic, an instrument, stand up, puppetry) we would love to see it.

How do I get to the Final?

There are two routes to the final showcase.

RGS Drama Spotlight Shows

On Thursday 12th January or Thursday 16th March, you can perform in The Drama Studio and show your talent. There will be Drama teachers there, and you can invite friends or family if you want to. You can do this just for fun, but we will also be selecting some performances from both of these shows to go forward to the Call My Agent Final.

By Invitation

Your drama teacher, music teacher or dance teacher may ask you if you would like to perform at the Final. This might be because you’ve done a particularly good performance in class, for an exam or as part of a production. If you think you’ve done something great, you can ask your teacher to put you forward for the final.

How do I enter?

There are no requirements for entry to the Spotlight Events. Simply work out what you want your act to be, enter using the button below, and practice practice practice!
