Below is a guide to the ratings you will find on our productions. Here at RGS we aim to produce a programme with a mix of styles and themes, and we feel it is important to occasionally produce challenging work as part of our goal to educate our students fully in the world of theatre. If you are in doubt about whether a particular show is for you, please get in touch and we can give you more details.
Everyone
Content is generally suitable for all ages. May contain minimal cartoon, fantasy or mild violence and/or infrequent use of mild language. But probably won't!
everyone 11+
Content is generally suitable for ages 10 and up. May contain more stylised, cartoon, fantasy or mild violence, mild language and/or minimal suggestive themes.
teen
Content is generally suitable for ages 12 and up. May contain violence, suggestive themes, crude humour, minimal blood, simulated gambling and/or infrequent use of strong language.
Mature
Content is generally suitable for ages 16 and up. May contain intense violence, blood and gore, sexual content and/or strong language. This rating is generally only found on exam performance pieces, where students are encouraged to push the boundaries of theatre as part of their study.
